Taking the whole “Xbox releases more controllers than games” thing even further than ever, Xbox has revealed it’s releasing a Wolverine controller before PlayStation and Insomniac have released their Wolverine game.
Yep, not to be outdone by his co-lead in the Deadpool & Wolverine film, Hugh Jackman’s portrayal of the iconic character is also getting a super limited edition arse controller courtesy of Xbox and a global sweepstakes giveaway.
The details on how to enter and secure an Xbox Wireless Controller modelled on Wolverine’s sweet can are yet to be fully detailed, but you’ll apparently need to be keeping an eye on the @Microsoft Instagram and #MicrosoftCheekySweepstakes to stand a chance at owning this affront to all sensibilities.
You’ll no doubt be able to find all of the usual info, and conditions and anything else at the official Xbox Wire blog, but for now we just have this teaser post complete with the reveal of a whole billboard advertising the Wolverine controller erected in Alberta, Canada.
And in case you missed Deadpool’s caked-up moment in the Xbox Wireless Controller spotlight, it’s all to promote the launch of the new Deadpool & Wolverine film, which hits theatres next week on July 25th, and Xbox has gone ahead and crafted another of its super-limited console and controller dealios to give away to one lucky winner in a sweepstakes.
The console itself looks exciting enough for anyone with a strong enough ion for Deadpool to have it out on display, with a wrap themed on the antihero’s suit and a pair of katana strapped to its back, and of course it comes with that controller.
