During this morning’s State of Play, it was revealed that a Mortal Kombat compilation was in the works that’s set to pool together all available versions of the first four Mortal Kombat games, whether they’re console, handheld ports, or cabinet versions.
The Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection is being developed by Digital Eclipse, whose pedigree in restoring older games is well known, so it’s safe to say the project is in good hands.
The collection is also set to feature rollback netcode, which is nice, while there’ll be plenty of bonus content that fans will drink up, from archival footage, rare concept art, and new interviews with the franchises’ creators Ed Boon and John Tobias.
Mortal Kombat: Legacy Kollection is set for release in 2025.
