The developer for Stellar Blade, which sold over a million copies within a few months of release last year, Shift Up, has confirmed that a sequel for their acclaimed PlayStation 5 exclusive action game is in the works and that they’re hoping to release before 2027.
As surmised by Wario64 on X, the company’s latest financials included the below graph detailing their future plans. “Sequel” and “platform expansion” are among the bars included.
With Stellar Blade set to release for PC soon, it’s expected that’s what “platform expansion” is referring to. That said, it’s entirely possible that a presumed timed-exclusivity agreement could end and see it land on other systems, such as Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2.
Also noted on the financials graph is ‘Project Witches’, the previously announced sci-fi action RPG also coming out of Shift Up.
