The Summer Game Fest Showcase premiered today, bringing with it a heap of new game reveals, trailers and exciting updates on a ton of games across a stacked show.
One of the earliest, extended looks at an exciting game came by way of a huge Mortal Kombat 1 trailer featuring story, gameplay, and plenty of gore. Aside from looking gorgeous as hell, it was an absolute crowd-pleaser for giving fans a great look at some of the characters and their interactions in this new take, as well as a taste of that new Kameo system. It also got super gory by the end.
Geoff Keighley also brought Ed Boon on stage to talk about the game’s premise and its new timeline offering, explain how Kameo works and promise that we’ve got a heap more character reveals to come.
