Nintendo has just updated its smart phone app on the Apple App Store and Google Play store in time for the Nintendo Switch 2 launch and it’s hugely improved on the original app. Not only does it have a new name in Nintendo Switch App, but it’s been made a lot cleaner with a bunch of new features too.
Obviously the Nintendo Switch 2 can now be linked to the app, and all of your screenshots and videos can now be sent automatically to your app as well. More importantly though, you can now add friends and accept friend requests in the app and you can also get notifications for when friends come online as well.
You can also receive GameChat invites through the app as well, and use features such as the new Zelda notes and map features that will be compatible with the Nintendo Switch 2 version.
