Pokemon Legends: Z-A’s Release Date Has Been Revealed

YAY!

Out of absolutely nowhere, The Pokemon Company has announced that Pokemon Legends: Z-A will release on October 16th for both the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version will offer improved graphics and frame rates and both the digital and physical edition of the OG Nintendo Switch version can be upgraded to the Nintendo Switch 2 edition at a later date as well.

The Pokemon Company also announced that a Pokemon Presents will take place on July 22nd and will presumably feature a bunch of new information on Pokemon Z-A. This is the earliest that a Pokemon presents has been announced with it being almost two months away.

Pokemon Legends: Z-A is set in X and Y’s Lumiose City going through radical change. The game features Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile as the starter Pokémon.

Much like Pokémon Legends Arceus, the game seems to have a focus on battling and open-world exploration. We even see our trainer jumping from roof to roof throughout Lumiose City. Perhaps most exciting is the return of Mega Evolution, a fan favourite mechanic from the sixth generation of Pokémon games.
