Journalist Pedro Henrique Lutti Lippe, who has been correct about Nintendo plans previously has gone on the record to say that Nintendo is set to hold a Nintendo Direct around the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2.
Whilst a June Nintendo Direct wouldn’t be surprising, obviously it’d be unfamiliar territory to have a stream this close to a console launch, but this would obviously be a great opportunity to show off more of Donkey Kong Bananza, give us release dates for Drag x Drive, Metroid Prime 4 and Pokemon Legends Z-A and maybe even tease some of the larger future releases coming to Nintendo Switch 2.

In of exact timing, it was mentioned that the Direct could take place either during launch week, or the following week (which seems more likely to me), but as soon as we have concrete information we’ll let you know.
Direct or no Direct, it’s an exciting time for Nintendo gamers with the Nintendo Switch 2 officially launching next week.
