But yes, the rumours were true. Nintendo held a Nintendo Direct tonight that showed off all kinds of games for the original Nintendo Switch. Could it be the last Nintendo Switch-focused direct?
We’re not sure.
But while there were no Nintendo Switch 2 announcements tonight, which was expected, there was still a lot on show for what will ostensibly become one of the twilight years for one of Nintendo’s best-selling consoles.
So, without further ado, here’s everything announced at the March 2025 Nintendo Direct.

It’s called Tomodachi Life: Living The Dream. But it’s also out in 2026. Watch it while high. I dare you.
It’s looking succulent and juicy, as predicted. The video took us through a new planet called Viewros and some of the combat too, as well as new Psychic Powers that Samus can wield. No date was confirmed, though it is still on track for 2025.
As previously shown, the game will take place in Lumiose City once again. There’s also a nighttime tournament called Z-A Royale. It’s like The Purge, but for Pokemon. It’s out in late 2025.
Both games are coming to the Switch as it’s own packaged called Patapon 1+2 Replay. New difficulty features have also been introduced. It’s out on July 11th 2025.
It look cool, but it’s out in 2026. See you then.
Following on from last years’ Dragon Quest III HD, this packaged brings together the original two Dragon Quest games with the same HD-2D treatment we’ve come to know and love. It’s out in 2025 still – no date was announced.
The game has you playing as Kaname Date, trying to track down an idol trapped. It’s out on July 25th 2025. I can’t the title beyond that.
The game has you playing as a detective and devil summoner. The game is a remake of an older game, sporting new visuals, quality of life updates, new voiceover and an overhauled battle system. It’s out in July.
It’s a kooky action filled Metroidvania game that has you exploring a strange world with a familiar called Puc (or Pac, get it?). It’s out on July 18th 2025.
The game makes its Switch return after initially debuting on the Nintendo DS. It’s out on August 27th 2025.
Not sure how we go from Metroid Prime 4: Beyond to this but that’s the dynamicity of videogames isn’t it? It’s out NOW go and get your fix. I hope Jafar can make me a latte.
The game is a life simulator that has you playing as, well, as Witch. It’s playable with up to four players as well, and is coming to PC and Xbox too.
Inspired by DuckTales, the game has you playing as an old man who can customise a variety of canes to jump through levels. It’s all hand-drawn too, and it’s out later this year.
VERY DYNAMIC. Includes a new game too, Salamander III. It’s out on August 7th.
After being announced last month, it’s out today. It also has music from Celeste.
Looks dynamic. June 27th.
I don’t really get this beyond being able to lend your friends their games? It sounds like what every other console system is. Cool! Kind of.
