Visions of Mana, the brand-new mainline entry in the historic RPG franchise, has finally settled on a release date. The game will launch on August 29th, 2024 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
Alongside the announcement of the release date, Square Enix also unveiled the various editions that the game will be available in, including a Digital Deluxe Edition with 24 hours early access to the game and some costumes themed on earlier series entries, as well as a neat-looking Collector’s Edition. Here’s what’s in each:

There will also be a pre-order bonus for all versions of the game that includes a “Brave Blade” weapon for protagonist, Val. At this stage, it doesn’t look likely that we’ll have access to the Collector’s Edition here in Australia.
I recently had the chance to go hands-on with a chunk of the game and came away keen for more, saying, “So far, in at least the short amount of time I’ve been able to spend with it, Visions of Mana feels somewhat safe. That’s more praise than criticism though, with this preview having struck a nice contrast to the dozens of hours of Dragon’s Dogma 2 I’ve been putting in lately. It’s light, it’s breezy, and it’s got all the hallmarks of a veteran franchise. I can’t wait to journey to the Tree of Mana later this year.”
